Taiwan set to increase visa-unfastened program for Philippines, Thailand, Brunei

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan is poised to extend the visa-unfastened software for passport holders from the Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, and Russia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on Monday (June 10) introduced a move-ministerial meeting to extend the visa-loose software for citizens of the Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, and Russia. However, formal approval of the results through the Cabinet remains pending. Minister without Portfolio Chang Ching-sen (張景森) informed CNA that the Cabinet wishes to extend the program. MOFA said that officials from national safety, immigration, police, investigations, tourism, economic systems, and exchange businesses are invited to discuss whether to hold the program. The assembly conducted a complete evaluation of the visa-unfastened software’s effectiveness and concluded that it must persevere.

In September of the remaining year, visa-unfastened entry becomes prolonged for Russian nationals for the remaining 14 days. Visa-free treatment for the Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, and Russia will expire on July 31. Citizens of the Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, and Russia are eligible for visa-free entry on the circumstance the candidates can offer the following:
